Big sound but the box is also a bit big. Generally pleased with the price value of the deal.
I wanted a center front speaker that was a sonic match to my F-3 Klipsch tower speakers, and it is all that. Nothing reproduces voices like a horn speaker, so this will help your middle-aged ears pick through the dialogue without having to resort to the dreaded "Closed Caption" button on occasion. Like all Klipsch, it returns a very high sound level for very little amplifier power, so maybe you are a bit "Green" after all. It is a honkin BIG speaker, so you'll have to get rid of those obsolete encyclopedias under the TV to make room.
A little weak with the sound, I expected more from alarge center channel speaker, the c-2 is better.
Yes, make room because it's big, but the sound is fantastic. at least that's what my friends said while watching several concerts on DVD. If you have some of those movies where dialog is difficult to understand, this speaker will resolve the problem. And with Klipsch F-3's in front you may not need(or want) a subwoofer. Plus, the price is only $200. I am so glad I chose to upgrade my system with Klipsch speakers.
This speaker has definitely improved our movie watching experience. The sound remained clear without a hint of distortion.
It's BIG. However, I personally like the look.
Even though I read other reviews about peoples surprise at how big the speaker was, I was still surprised when I opened the box. I turned the volume up high and the only thing that felt like it would break was my ear drum.
I prefer it with the front panel off. Keeping in mind that I am not an expert or a sound technician, I find the sound quite impressive.
At low volume, the words still come through clearly. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase and the price is unbeatable.
